Hi Ceasar,

Thank you for the podcast. I think you did a great job of talking about what self-portraiture entails from an artists perspective. I was also glad Frida was included. Along those lines, I think your discussion could benefit from a dive into other regions of the world and how, from their perspectives, self-portraits and what goes into making them is viewed. For example, Ren Xiong's self-portrait is important to Chinese art history, and this piece of art stemmed from contact with the new medium of photography. But looking at it, it translates perspectives he was seeing in photographs into the Shanghai school, an aesthetic that he knew and that was more accessible to his contemporaries.
